Hey everybody here. I was just thinking of how a new user can be convinced to give it a try and use Locktrip marketplace for his/hers next vacation, business trip or short city break.
Needless to say, the top reason are the great savings that are possible when using LT. But usually this is not enough to really get someone involved with the idea of using something new and unknown. And when a real face to face interaction is initiated, the most common questions coming from the other side are "why is this platform better and cheaper than any big and popular OTA?", "How they achieve this?". And when "blockchain" comes in the conversation reactions are often - "this is a scam..", "I don't believe all those new and fancy tech startups", ..etc. Of course, here I am addressing all the people that are not familiar with the technical part of the project which is 99% of the customers we'll be addressing in our attempt to popularize the marketplace.
I would be happy to hear your ideas on how to shortly explain the importance of blockchain to this project and what the connection is.
I suppose any other interesting "sales" approaches on how to prove to common users the supremacy of Locktrip over other OTAs will be of great help to all the community. Thanks.
Yeah just as Nody above here said, don't sell people the technology. Some people are still not ready to accept that crypto is here to stay. Instead - sell them the inventory and the savings. When the question of how the company achieves this, make an analogy of how the internet came to democratize (distribute freely) information so too the Blockchain is here to democratize data. Explain to them that other OTAs simply used the internet to distribute hotel inventory and made money from commissions on distributing that inventory to a larger audience, LockTrip plans on making money from add-ons.
What I really love about LockTrip is that the price stays the same whether it be 3 weeks or 3 days before your trip (granted it's sourced from the same supplier of course). This isn't the case with any other OTA.
